What is Hospice Care?

Our specially trained Care Teams work to control pain and other symptoms, as well as provide emotional and spiritual support for patients and their families.

Hospice is about celebrating life and viewing death as a natural process. Hospice is not designed to hasten death or "help" someone die, but rather to help patients live the remainder of their lives as fully as possible. Most people, if asked, will say they dream of a peaceful, comfortable death surrounded by their loved ones. A team of trained professionals work together to deliver end-of-life services that can make that dream a reality.

Anyone of any age who is diagnosed with any illness with a limited life expectancy can benefit from Hospice. No one is refused care because of an inability to pay. Our services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, donations, fundraising events, grants and private pay when possible.
